Traffic Calming Updates

Locals have been working with Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) to limit speeding through residential areas in our community.

A traffic calming meeting regarding Scenic View Road in Rayon City was held on February 28. NDOT unveiled their proposal which includes five speed cushions and a radar feedback sign to deter excess speed. Residents of Scenic View have been mailed ballots with QR codes to vote on the measure. The deadline is Friday, April 26.

Additionally, upon request by several residents and businesses in Old Hickory Village, the Historic Old Hickory Village Neighborhood Association submitted applications for traffic calming measures on Hadley Avenue and Riverside Drive.
