March updates on beautification efforts
AC Pullig-Gomez of Metro Parks Division of Planning and Special Projects has shared plans to revitalize the green space outside of the Old Hickory Art Center at 1308 Fuller Street.
This space behind the Piggly Wiggly on Robinson Road is currently a large field with a concrete slab at the center, but Metro intends to plant 12 different species of tree around the property. Other features like benches and walking trails are also being considered to maximize the public’s use of the space.
Additionally, Pullig-Gomez has noted that Metro Parks is working with Councilman Jeff Eslick on potentially designing and funding a dog park at the 12th Street Ball Field.
