Progress update on the Community Center

4/10 UPDATE: Metro’s kickoff meeting with Solomon Builders was held on April 4th. The demolition timeline is still tentative, but we have learned there is still a possibility for a dog park on the premises. Additionally, we will be working with Councilman Eslick and Metro Parks on prioritizing the playground and activating nearby playgrounds for children in the interim.

Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County has shared that Solomon Builders has been awarded the contract for the new Old Hickory Community Center.

Details are limited at this time, but a kickoff meeting will take place in the coming weeks to establish a schedule for demolition and construction.

You can revisit last year’s walkthrough of the new design here.
