Old Hickory Library April Events

There is never a shortage of happenings and resources at our Old Hickory branch of the Nashville Public Library. Our library hosts several reoccurring events for all ages. All events are free with your library card.

Family Story Time takes place every Monday morning for ages 0-5, while the Library Play Date is on the calendar every Wednesday morning.

Adventure Club for grades K-5 meets every Thursday for arts, games, movies, and more.

There is a Teen Hangout every Saturday for grades 6-12, where your teenager can engage in arts and crafts, game nights, movie nights, and more.

If your teen is interested in manga and anime, the Manga Book Club meets every third Saturday. Anime Club meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

If you are looking to join the fun yourself, the Old Hickory Book Club for adults meets every third Thursday for friendly and informal monthly discussions of literary works.

Additionally, this Monday, April 15 will have a special event. The story of “Sky Bear” will be presented by The Puppet Truck. This indigenous folktale about how the Milky Way was formed will be told with marionettes created by Wood and Strings Puppet Company.
