County-wide LPR Community Meetings
The Mayor's Office will host a series of community conversations on license plate readers the week of April 22. An Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) is a camera used with computer software that automatically captures an image of a vehicle's license plate and uploads it to enforcement databases, alerting them of a potentially stolen vehicle.
The meetings will include presentations by MNPD, the Community Review Board, and community organizations, as well as opportunities to socialize and ask questions. The intent is to provide data and other information, understand concerns, and help shape future considerations around LPRs.
Meeting Schedule:
Monday, April 22 at Coleman Park Community Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 23 at Southeast Community Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 25 at I.T. Creswell Middle School of the Arts from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
