New Businesses & Proposed Developments

There is no shortage of construction happening around Old Hickory this spring.

We’re happy to share the good folks at Old Hickory Social are officially open as of April 9th! You can now shop from their vendors seven days a week.

Many neighbors have been inquiring about the renovations to the old Regions Bank on Robinson Road. We have learned that Subway will migrate from its current location of 1427 Robinson Road to this upgraded space. They will share this space with a Hangry Joe’s Chicken.

Additionally, we are monitoring several rezonings in Lakewood and Rayon City.

BL2023-103 at 3800 Anthony Street in Lake has been rezoned from RS20 to SP, allowing for four multi-family townhomes to be constructed with the entrance and guest parking in the rear.

99 Bridgeway Avenue in Rayon City has been split into two lots with one new address created. The lot closer to Rayon Drive will be zoned as R6-A, similar to the rest of the R6 properties on Rayon Drive. The lot closed to Bridgeway will remain CS. Here is an example of Cream City Development’s recent work.

Councilman Jeff Eslick stated that the 99 Bridgeway and 3800 Anthony projects were both downsized after community feedback.

Finally, we are monitoring the development of the Clemmons Crossing Townhomes at 1102 Robinson Road.

If you see a zoning sign displayed on a property, post its picture to our Facebook group. This will allow our neighbors to speak up prior to any approvals occurring.
